Randy Couture Vs. Brock Lesnar At UFC 91

After a few days of speculation regarding the worst-kept MMA secret in recent memory, the cat is out of the bag: Randy Couture will return to the UFC to take on Brock Lesnar for the title. The bout will take place at UFC 91 and the winner will meet the winner of Nogueira/Mir to unify the heavyweight titles. One win and Lesnar is being awarded a title shot? Weird, wild stuff in the UFC.

Sad....I even like Lesnar but the fact that he gets a title shot so early only speaks to how weak the UFC HW division is. Winner of Mir/Nog should fight Randy....let Lesnar fight Gonzaga!

It makes financial sense. I aint a huge Lesnar fan but it makes $$$$$ you aint gotta be a rocket scientist to figure that out. You tell a bunch of drunk Alabamians that Lesnar sucks and you might not make it home hahaha

UFC is an invitation-only tournament, and Lesnar has been invited. Makes business sense to include Brock in the picture, as he's pretty obviously been UFC's latest heavyweight promotion project. On the plus side, it seems likely that if he sticks with MMA, he has the tools to develop into a real MMA monster. Title shot after one victory? Maybe not in most versions of the real world, but UFC is it's own universe. Agree with Redcoat as well, a thin heavyweight cast is served by this fight, whoever emerges the winner.

its not hapening at UFC 91 in Portland (I am disapointed as I live in Portland) but will happen in Las Vegas in December.

Lesnar is a good fighter and i have no doubt about him bringing a good fight. Randy has his work cut out. Lesnar is way better than Tim Silva he would kill that guy. It gona be a good fight both have a lot of heart. I say it's to hard to tell i think round 2 will be were it all boil's down.
